Welcome to IAG Assam  
On 3rd August 2013, Barpeta District IAG has been formed with the initiative of CASA under the leadership of Mr. L. Meru, Sr. Coordinator NEI, CASA. A sizable number of local NGOs participated in the meeting. Mr. A. Malik has been appointed as Chairperson and Mr. Habibollah Khan has been appointed Secretary. The Executive Committee members have also been selected. The Executive Committee will meet on 24th August to work out modalities for its functions.

  North East Disaster Risk Reduction and Convention of Inter Agency Groups
Inter Agency Group Assam will hold the first "North East Disaster Risk Reduction and Convention of Inter Agency Groups" on 23rd and 24th January 2017 at Srimanta Sankardeva Kalakshetra, Panzabari, Guwahati, Assam. All the stakeholders are invited to attend the mega event.

Assam Disaster Management Manual 2015
The Government of Assam has replaced Assam Relief Manual, 1976 by the Assam Disaster Management Manual, 2015 which is prepared in accordance with the provisions of the Disaster Management Act, 2005. The Document will be available soon in our website.

Flood Situation in the State is Critical
The flood situation in Assam is critical. 13 districts have been affected as per ASDMA report of 25th August 2014. The situation in Dhemaji, Lakhimpur, is reported to be critical. IAG-Assam would be doing joint assessment in Dhemaji, Lakhimpur, Jorhat, Sivsagar, Golaghat, Morigaon, Barpeta and Majuli.
